Guided Tours Pearl Harbor USS Arizona
Discover Hawaii Tours has several guided trips to Pearl Harbor from Oahu, Maui, Big Island, and Kauai. The Pearl Harbor Tours are something you cannot miss when you visit Hawaii. You will have the opportunity to visit all of the historical museums and memorial sites of Pearl Harbor along with visiting the battleships USS Arizona, USS Bowfin, USS Missouri, and more.
One of our most popular tours is “The Complete Pearl Harbor Experience”. The Complete Pearl Harbor Experience includes a visit to Oahu’s Pacific Historic Park, as well as the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. On this tour you will get to view authentic film footage from that fateful day December 7, 1941, and you will get to see, touch, and feel the USS Arizona, the USS Bowfin Submarine, and the USS Oklahoma Memorial.
If you are particularly interested in the U.S. military history and that of the ships you should check out the “Battleships of World War II” tour. Like “The Complete Pearl Harbor Experience” the Battleships tour gives you round trip pick up and drop off from your Waikiki hotel. Have the opportunity to reflect on the attack that took the lives of 1,177 sailors, thrusting the U.S. into World War II.
Travel into the hearts and minds of those who plunged into the ocean’s depths onboard the USS Bowfin, and see where the oil is still leaking from the USS Arizona. Climb onto the fifth deck of the USS Missouri Battleship, and have the opportunity to look over the guns.
You will also visit the USS Oklahoma, which was only second to the USS Arizona in the amount of lives that was lost. The monument still stands today in the spot right where it went down in 1941.
Discover Hawaii Tours also offers the Battleships of World War II Tour from Maui and the Complete Pearl Harbor Experience from Big Island On all of these tours, you will get to see not just the Battleships, but also the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum housed with a variety of planes that remain in the Aviation Hangar today. When you get into the cockpits and look out the windows of these fighter planes, you can imagine the experience of being a fighter pilot during World War II. Following this tour, you will really understand the events leading up to the war.
Each tour also incorporates a stop at the Punchbowl National Cemetery, which is the military memorial where you can see the Lady of Columbia waving to onlookers. Then come through downtown Honolulu and see the historic buildings that have been standing since the mid 1800’s, including the statue of King Kamehameha.
The statue of Hawaii’s first king stands in front of one of the oldest buildings in Hawaii, across from the lolani Palace. Our Guided tours of Pearl Harbor are the absolute best way to get a true understanding and respect for the culture and history of Hawaii.
